WARRANTY POLICY

Warranty Duration

At Battery Engineering, every purchase of a new battery each customer will receive our warranty policy.

The battery you purchased has the options of a six (6) months (only some batteries apply), twelve (12) months (standard), PREMIUM* twenty-four (24) months warranty to the original purchaser and calculated from the date of purchase.

BATTERY ENGINEERING LTD. will issue a free replacement to the purchaser within the warranty period after a full assessment is complete.

*Note: Premium warranty only applies to the vehicle it was originally installed in. For the first 12 months period the PREMIUM warranty qualifies for

free replacement. The second 12 month period will be prorated. All checks must be done by our technicians to ensure the vehicle electrical systems

are operating properly as well as its alternator is charging correctly before this warranty can be issued.

Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

1. The warranty period commences from the date of sale of the Battery.

2. The warranty is limited to manufacturing defects, faulty materials, and poor workmanship.

3. In the event of any complaint, the battery has to be returned to BATTERY ENGINEERING LTD.

4. Replacement/Rectified battery has to be collected from the BATTERY ENGINEERING LTD.

5. The right to determine whether a battery needs Free Replacement rests with BATTERY ENGINEERING LTD.

6. Defective Battery arising out of Free Replacement becomes the property of BATTERY ENGINEERING LTD.

7. The warranty period will commence from the date of sale of the original battery and is continued by the

replacement battery. It will not alter the warranty period.

8. All liabilities under this warranty will cease if the battery is:

a. Transferred to a third party or to any other vehicle.

b. Used in any application for which it was not intended or in vehicles requiring a larger battery.

c. Damaged due to fitment of additional accessories other than the original fitment.

d. Out of warranty period.

 

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

1. Damage to the battery caused by faulty electrical systems, improper handling and installation, service by

unauthorized dealers/auto electricians, physical abuse, destruction by fire, explosion, collision, theft, or

improper recharging.

2. A merely discharged battery.

3. Improper installation or reverse charging.

4. A dried out battery caused by prolonged overcharging or faulty regulator.

5. A blown up battery.

6. Electrically shorted battery.

7. Broken or damaged post, container or cover.

8. Contaminated electrolyte.
